Microgaming raises over 8,000 Pounds for charity

Golf competition winners - Microgaming

Microgaming has recently held the Manx Cancer Help Golf Day and managed to raise the impressive sum of £8,170 for the charity within just one day (on June 19th). It became possible also thanks to Mount Murray Golf Club where they have eighteen holes and can offer the conditions for a competition even hotter than the weather.

When the competition was at its end there were two players tied on a hundred and eighteen points and the Continent8 Technologies (the winner) claiming the spoils for winning on the back nine. The second place was occupied by the Lloyds TSB and the Barclays Bank team came third in the end with the total of a hundred and fourteen points.

The ‘Wild Ball‘ certainly spiced-up the fun-filled afternoon too, and it proved decisive in the end with the winners beating their rivals due to the double points available. But the ‘Wild Ball’ did not just heap additional pressure on the players; it also gave them extra welcome funds to Manx Cancer Help since just 3 teams made it back to the clubhouse with both allocated Wild Balls and fifteen made the donations because of their waywardness.

So a brand new MINI One was to be provided as the prize by the Buchanan MINI for anyone who would skilled enough or simply lucky enough to get a hole in one. But unfortunately no one made it to ace the eighteenth hole, although they claimed 6 spot prizes. And although a player of Stewart Clague Services team Rob Gardner came very close to the spot, his fair shot fell just several feet short of the hole. Still, the game was a great fun for all the participants and they thanked Microgaming for organizing it with such a noble goal.
